Artist Abid Usmangani Shaikh, born on October 8th, 1977, in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, is a distinguished artist known for his evocative paintings. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the prestigious Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai, in 2002. Over the years, Abid has held several solo exhibitions at renowned venues such as Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, Museum Art Gallery, Mumbai, and Sumukha Art Gallery in Chennai and Bangalore. His solo shows include Astitva (2003), Local Spine (2009), Soft Land (2011), Equals (2015), and Unity (2023), among others.
Abid has also participated in numerous group shows, including the Singapore Art Fair (2008), the Birla Art Gallery in Kolkata, and various prestigious art festivals and fairs in India and abroad. His works are part of both private and public collections internationally.
