Anjum Motiwala is a contemporary abstract artist based in Singapore. With a background in Abstract Art from NAFA, Singapore and Degree in Fashion & Design from Mumbai, She has participated in close to 100 group shows.
She is a full time internationally recognised artist and her works have been widely exhibited in Asia & India.Her artworks can be found in many private collections across the world.
Her inspiration comes from life experiences,travel across the world ,emotions colour,texture and form found in nature. She uses a palette knife and other unconventional tools to paint in oils & Acrylics using a thick impasto technique to produce bold strokes that add character and strength to her Abstracts.
Anjum has developed her very own unique mix of contemporary art.She is a creative innovator and she is always looking for new tools and techniques to experiment with. .
Anjum has been showcasing her works since 2009 in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Dubai ,London, Australia, Japan and Canada. Anjum was also selected to show her Abstracts at the Florence Biennale in 2019 and now again in 2023. Anjum has also won an award at the 17 th International Painting and Calligraphy Art Exhibition held at the Metropolitan Museum of Japan , Tokyo in May 2024.
