Chaitali De Chanda

Celebrating the Understated Abundance of Rural India

Born in 1977 in West Bengal, Chaitali De Chanda is a contemporary Indian artist dedicated to the quiet beauty of the natural world. Her paintings serve as poetic tributes to the flora and fauna of rural India, capturing often-overlooked details like betel nuts and banana flowers with vibrant sincerity.

A graduate of the Indian College of Art and Draftsmanship (Rabindra Bharati University), Chaitali further refined her craft through the Gurukul Parichaya Shikshakram. Her celebrated career includes solo exhibitions at prestigious venues such as the Academy of Fine Arts (Kolkata), Bajaj Art Gallery (Mumbai), and Open Palm Court (Delhi).

Operating from her studio in Kolkata, Chaitali’s work offers collectors a deep, personal dialogue with nature, blending traditional roots with modern botanical vibrance
