Chandra Morkonda, an accomplished artist born in 1989 in the serene temple town of Srikalahasthi, is renowned for his vibrant and captivating artwork. He pursued his artistic education with dedication, earning an M.F.A. in Graphics from Kala Bhavan, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan in 2014, and a B.F.A. in painting from JNTU, Hyderabad in 2011.
Throughout his artistic journey, Chandra has been honored with prestigious awards and scholarships, including the South Zone Andhra Pradesh State Award from PDAF, Mumbai in 2016, the ARNAWAZ VASUDEV Scholarship in Bangalore from 2014 to 2015, and the State Award from POTTI SREE RAMULU TELUGU UNIVERSITY, Hyderabad in 2008.
Chandra's artistic prowess is distinctly characterized by his deep connection to nature, particularly trees, which became the central theme of his acclaimed series "Kalpakavriksha."
