Jiban Biswas

Jiban Biswas, born in 1982 in Birbhum District, West Bengal, India, currently resides and works in Kolkata. He graduated from the Government College of Art and Craft in 2006. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous group exhibitions both in India and internationally. Biswas explores a variety of mediums and techniques in his work, with his recent pieces focusing on the imaginative world of Indian animals, under the theme "The Stories of Animals."

Acrylics are his preferred medium, which he uses masterfully to bring his artistic visions to life.

Biswas has showcased his work in over 60 group exhibitions and 6 solo shows across major galleries in Kolkata, New Delhi, Amsterdam, Dubai, and London. He has also conducted 25 workshops in cities like Kolkata, Jodhpur, and Darjeeling. His contributions to art extend to over 220 school art projects across India in collaboration with the Birla Group.

Among his many accolades, Biswas has received the Best GCAC Award for four consecutive years, the Profulla Award, and the Prakash Award.
