Dr. Madhuri Kathe, born in 1972 in Ujjain, is an accomplished Indian contemporary artist with a rich artistic journey. Her dedication is evident from her childhood passion for art and her pursuit of academic brilliance in art. With a Ph.D. in "A Critical Study of Raghogarh School of Painting," a master's degree in Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology, and another in Drawing and Painting with a Gold Medal, her academic achievements are notable. Encouraged by her parents, Madhuri took the bold step of moving from a quaint town to Mumbai to give flight to her career. Under the guidance of mentors like Padmashree Dr. V.S. Vakankar, Late Dr. O.P. Bhatnakar, and Dr. Sushila Pant, Madhuri has exhibited in over 40 major solo and group shows globally. Her accolades include the National Award at the Rashtriya Kalidas Samaroha in 1995 and the Gold Medal at the National Youth Festival in 1992.The artist also completed a residency in Sweden in 2018.
