Ramesh Gorjala, born in 1979 in Kalahasti, Andhra Pradesh, hails from a family of weavers and mastered Kalamkari art at a young age. With a degree and master's degree in fine arts from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad, Gorjala seamlessly blends tradition and modernity in his original artwork. His unique portrayal of Indian mythological figures, such as Krishna, Vishnu, Ganesha, and Hanumana, is marked by large bodies on canvas, serving as a stage for ancient tales. Using the kalamkari process, he accentuates block-printed colors with a fine pen, primarily employing red, orange, brown, blue, and gold. Gorjala has showcased his art in numerous solo exhibitions and group shows both in India and abroad. Ramesh currently lives and works in Tirupati.
