Contemporary Sculptor, Visual Artist & Spatial Designer
With over two decades of practice, Shovin Bhattacharjee stands as a pioneering force in contemporary Indian art, renowned for his monumental sculptures, immersive installations, and dynamic digital prints. Masterfully bridging the gap between fine art and spatial design, Bhattacharjee’s creative narrative examines the profound interplay between modern technology, urbanization, and human existence.
Holding both a B.F.A. and M.F.A. in Painting from Assam University, alongside advanced training in multimedia design and cultural conservation, Bhattacharjee brings an uncommonly rigorous technical precision to his studio practice. His contemporary sculptures and multi-material works are celebrated for their innovative material applications—translating complex conceptual ideas into striking physical forms that redefine luxury interiors, private collections, and public spaces worldwide.
Bhattacharjee’s decorated career is marked by prestigious accolades, including the All India Platinum Artist Award (2017) and multiple Gold Awards in Installation and Digital Art from the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation, as well as honors from AIFACS and a Junior Research Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. His international footings include historic solo exhibitions in Seoul, South Korea—where his work inaugurated the Indian Cultural Centre—and major showcases across New Delhi and international galleries.
