Umakant Kanade Nivrutti, an accomplished artist born in 1965 in Loni Vyankanath, Dist. Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India, holds a G. D. Art Painting degree (First Class) since 1990. Specializing in the medium of Pen(crowquill) & Ink on Canvas, Umakant’s artworks have graced numerous solo exhibitions and over 130 group shows in India and abroad. Currently, he serves as a Lecturer at Bharati Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, while actively pursuing his career as an artist.
Umakant’s works have been featured in auctions in Italy, America, and the UK. Despite his black and white palette, Umakant breathes life into nature, portraying its exuberance on canvases. The compositions depict water bodies surrounded by lush vines and trees, with elements like vibrant birds and floating lotuses introducing splashes of color to the monochromatic canvas.
