Yashwant Shirwadkar

Late Mr. Yashwant Shirwadkar’s legacy is a testament to his artistic impressionist marvels. The artist worked for 45 years and during his lifetime held about 100 solo shows - a remarkable feat at that time. In addition to being part of 260 group shows in India, the prominent artist also exhibited his works extensively abroad, including many solo exhibitions being held in France, Belgium, Switzerland, London and US .

Shirwadkar’s major works are based on alluring landscape series of Benares, Rajasthan, Kashmir, and Kerala. During his early days, he also worked on Kulu Manali, Goa, and various seascapes.
