Artist Bio

Born in 1987 in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, artist Pratiksha Bothe, now works in Pune, Maharashtra. They hold a G.D. Art degree from Mumbai University (Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune) and have also completed a PG in Indology from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune.

The artist's journey in the art world began as a Graphic Designer for an advertising agency. This experience prompted a deeper consideration of the sensitivity and intent behind paintings. Their studies in Indology, encompassing the history, cultures, languages, and literature of the Indian subcontinent, have subtly permeated their artistic creations.

Sensitive and richly colored, Partiksha's paintings are described as reflections of their inner world. They depict religious narratives, decorative motifs, and symbols through a unique personal lens.

A significant inspiration for her work is the "Sursundari," the celestial female figure frequently found in the sculptural artistry of medieval Indian temples. This motif, ubiquitous in Indian visual arts and architecture, serves as a powerful reminder of ancient Indian art and the culture of the Harappa civilization, one of the world's oldest civilizations.

Drawing a connection to the Harappan people's worship of a Mother Goddess, evidenced by numerous figurines, Pratiksha's work also echoes the skilled craftsmanship and possible dance forms suggested by Indus Valley discoveries like the bronze Dancing Girl.The fusion of Indian culture is central to her paintings. This is her personal way of showcasing the blend of ancient culture and art.

Packaging and Shipping Costs

Within India Shipping: Complimentary shipping offered for rolled artworks in India for orders above INR 1 Lac. Special packaging costs may apply in case artwork can’t be shipped rolled.

Special Packaging Costs:

All artworks will be shipped in rolled format with safe packaging, unless stated otherwise.
Arworks requiring special packaging: Some artworks like framed and artworks, Mix media works and sculptures cannot be shipped rolled and require extra packaging like wooden box packaging to ensure it reached you . The shipping cost will be borne by clients in case of such packaging.
