Kalyan Joshi, born in 1969, carries on a 13th-century legacy as a master Phad painter, honing his craft since age eight under his father, Shri Shri Lal Joshi. A recipient of National Awards in 2006 and 2010, Kalyan pushes the boundaries of this traditional art form through contemporary stories and innovative line work. As founder of the Ankan Artist Group, he actively champions Phad painting's future, regularly sharing his expertise in workshops across India.

Phad painting is a traditional folk art form from Rajasthan, India, characterized by its long, scroll-like paintings on cloth. These vibrant narratives typically depict the heroic deeds of local deities and historical figures, often accompanied by live musical performances. The paintings are rich in detail, vivid colors, and intricate patterns, created using natural pigments. Phad art is not just a visual spectacle but a storytelling tradition, passed down through generations within specific families, making each brushstroke a part of a living cultural heritage.

Taxes and Interntational Duties: 

1. The above costs do not include taxes and custom duties. Indian customers will be able to view taxes being applied,  while making purchase. 
2. However, any international shipping and custom taxes, duties shall be borne by client completely. 

Delivery Timelines:

1. Within India: Within 10 days of order receipt and confirmation approximately 
2. International Shipping: Within 15-20 days for international shipping depending on destination. Please note there might be unprecedented and slight delay from your country's customs

Packaging and Shipping Costs

Within India Shipping: Complimentary shipping offered for rolled artworks in India for orders above INR 1 Lac.  Special packaging costs may apply in case artwork can’t be shipped rolled.

Special Packaging Costs: 

1. All artworks will be shipped in rolled format with safe packaging, unless stated otherwise.
2. Arworks requiring special packaging: Some artworks like framed and artworks, Mix media works and sculptures cannot be shipped rolled and require extra packaging like wooden box packaging to ensure it reached you . The shipping cost will be borne by clients in case of such packaging. 
3. Artazzle team will share special packaging cost as per actuals upon enquiry; cost varies based on factors like destination and weight.
